Job Description
Position Summary
The Music Department is hiring for an Adjunct Instructor to teach private Bassoon lessons. The position begins in the Fall 2025 semester.
Salary Based on number of students- $655.67/per student in the Fall/Spring
- $300 payment on one lab in the Fall/Spring
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide instruction to students in a meaningful classroom and/or laboratory learning environment
- Teach students a 60 minute lesson once per week
- Be present for labs 5 to 7 times each semester for seminar classes, recitals, and juries
Qualifications
- A Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Music or a Bachelor's degree in Music or Music Education is required plus:
- A minimum of 14 undergraduate hours of private lessons in area of teaching and
- 6 long semesters experience performing in a college orchestra plus
- At least 2 years professional playing experience in an auditioned group
- A demonstrated commitment to serving a diverse array of students, to the community college mission, and to academic excellence
- Local instructors preferred. However, will consider applicants who can teach via WebEx (real time remote
