JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The employee for this position will assist with supporting researchers in their fabrication needs. This can include metalworking, woodworking, or general diagnosis and repair. The employee will also assist the shop manager in their daily duties. This includes safety support and inspection, coordination of building maintenance, surplus handling and processing, and vehicle maintenance. All duties will include training by the shop manager to ensure complete understanding of the tasks and the safety measures involved.
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
