The Custodian performs routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks in the upkeep of campus buildings or areas of assignment. Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Delegate functions as needed, which includes knowledge of Microsoft products and Outlook.
- Training of new employees/staff on equipment usage and Gannon custodial cleaning standards.
- Training of student employees.
- Covering shifts as needed
- Coordinating project work
- Entering work requests
- Occasional after hours and weekend visits
- Equipment auditing & minor maintenance to equipment
- Knowledge of floor care and using machinery
- Conduct quality assurance inspections as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope, responsibility, and requirements of the position.
This position reports to Custodial Supervisor and may train and be asked to oversee employees.

Required Qualifications
Education: A high school diploma/GED.
Experience: One-to-two years of related experience
Skills: Must have the ability to: follow verbal and written instructions; communicate and exchange routine information with coworkers, supervisors, or other personnel; read and comprehend work orders, right-to-know notices and product instructions; evaluate work conditions and operate cleaning equipment. Must have valid PA drivers license.
