Job Summary

Michigan Dialysis has three locations including Livonia, Canton, and Ann Arbor. The Canton and Ann Arbor Michigan Dialysis Services (MDS) center?s specialize in in-center hemodialysis and home therapies. Livonia MDS currently specializes in in-center hemodialysis.

This is a joint venture between Renal Research Institute (RRI) of Michigan and Michigan Health Corporation (MHC) dedicated to providing high quality dialysis care for adults. The primary facility is located at MDS Dialysis at Livonia Center For Specialty Care 19900 Haggerty Road #111, Livonia Mi 48152. We are actively seeking an individual with proven leadership skills, outstanding communication skills and demonstrated decision making/problem solving abilities.
 

Provides professional nursing leadership and administrative direction in the MDS Outpatient Dialysis Program. Participates as a member of leadership teams to provide and continually improve health care services and to support the mission and goals of Michigan Dialysis Services (MDS), Inc. LLC and Michigan Medicine.

Responsibilities*

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor will plan and manage the clinical and administrative operations of the Livonia Michigan Dialysis Services Team. Assure implementation of patient care and quality assurance standards; and to plan, organize and evaluate clinical practice and educational activities in collaboration with other members of the Nursing community. Participate in planning, development and implementation of clinic policies, goals and objective and standard of nursing practice. Counsel and evaluate the performance and clinical practice of the nursing staff. This includes staff development programs, clinic orientation to ensure compliance with practice standards. Identify and resolve clinic operational problems. Represent the clinic on assigned clinical area and Hospital committees. Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations regarding affirmative action, safety and patient care. Actively collaborate in the development of annual budgets; manage and provide variance reporting of activity, payroll, commodity, & capital budgets; participate in the new program development & implementation; work closely with relevant physicians to promote and foster a clinical care environment that strives to deliver the ideal patient care experience for our patients. Provide administrative/management leadership personnel management.

Required Qualifications*

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.

Required Educational Requirements:
Applicant must meet one of the following:
* Bachelors of Science in Nursing OR
* Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing and a Masters degree in Nursing.

Hours: Full-time; FLSA status: Exempt
Shift: Shift and hours will vary based on unit needs
Location: Primary location Livonia, but could include Canton, Ann Arbor, or expand in future depending on additional sites.
